MEN'S TENNIS BLANKS CONCORD 9-0
ATHENS, W.Va. --- The Tusculum College men's tennis team dropped just one game in doubles play en route of a sweep of Concord University Friday afternoon in Athens, W.Va.
Tusculum dominated No. 1 and No. 2 doubles as the teams of freshmen Carlos Garcia (Caracas, Venezuela) and Sergio Espinosa (Caracas, Venezuela), and seniors Roberto Robles (Bogota, Colombia) and Jesse Puckerin (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) each swept their opponents 8-0.
Robles and Puckerin posted identical singles scores of 6-2, 6-1 and the Pioneers dropped just one game in the other singles matchups.
With the fall season complete, Tusculum (2-0) plays next at Belmont Abbey College Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m.
