WOMEN OPEN SPRING SEASON WITH 9-0 WIN AT KING
BRISTOL, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women’s tennis team blanked
host King College 9-0 Friday night at the Bristol Country Club.
The
Pioneers (4-0) swept doubles, including an 8-2 pro set win at the No. 3 flight
by Bronwyn Hartley and Blake Thompson.
In singles action, Jennifer Sparks, Hartley, Amanda Pike, Katelyn Doss, Thompson and Heidi
von der Lage each
accounted for victories.
Tusculum’s Sunday match with
Alabama-Huntsville has been postponed due to the threat of inclement
weather. The Pioneers host Lees-McRae
College on Tuesday for a 2 p.m. match at the Nichols Tennis Complex.
