VULCANS BEAT NO. 40
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- In a battle of nationally ranked women's teams,
No. 7 California (Pa.) defeated No. 40 Tusculum College 9-0 Tuesday afternoon
at the Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Vulcans
(15-1) opened with an 8-4 pro set win at No. 1 doubles as the pair of Inga Chilingaryan
and Yumi Matsuto
defeated the TC duo of Danae Valderrama
and Samantha Cantu. Chilingaryan and Matsuto are currently ranked fifth in the nation (NCAA
Division II) in doubles competition.
The Pioneers (5-2) will open
South Atlantic Conference play on Wednesday when they host
