TUSCULUM WOMEN'S TENNIS BLANKS LEES-McRAE 9-0

 

                GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women's tennis team dropped only four games on the afternoon as the Pioneers defeated visiting Lees-McRae College Saturday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.  The Pioneers improve to 6-5 on the year.

 

                Tusculum swept all three doubles points including an 8-0 pro set win at No. 3 doubles by Danae Valderrama and Jennifer Sparks over the LMC pair of Brittney Sherrill and Rebecca Payne.

 

                In singles play, Tusculum lost only two games as Claudia Bolivar, Maria Nevarez, Amanda Pike, Bronwyn Hartley and Sparks by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores.

 

                Tusculum returns to action on Sunday when it travels to Milligan College for a 2 p.m. match.
