TUSCULUM WOMEN BLANKS MILLIGAN 9-0

 

            GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The No. 40 Tusculum College women’s tennis team defeated visiting Milligan College 9-0 Sunday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.  Tusculum improves to 7-2 on the season while Milligan falls to 1-3 on the spring.

 

            Tusculum swept all three doubles matches, including an 8-1 pro-set win by the No. 1 duo of Danae Valderrama and Samantha Cantu, as they defeated Krissi Denton and Melissa Grgat.

 

            The Pioneers also got singles victories by Valderrama, Cantu, Jennifer Sparks, Bronwyn Hartley, Caroline Crowe and Amanda Pike.

 

            Tusculum returns to action on Tuesday when they host Limestone College for a 4 p.m. contest.
