WOMEN’S TENNIS WINS 8-1 OVER LMU
HARROGATE, Tenn. –- The Tusculum College women’s tennis team
remained undefeated in South Atlantic Conference play as the Pioneers posted an
8-1 road win at Lincoln Memorial University Tuesday. The Pioneers improve to 10-2 overall and 2-0
in the league, while LMU falls to 5-6, 3-2 SAC.
Tusculum swept all three doubles
points, including an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles by Caroline Crowe and Katelyn
Doss. The Pioneers won five of the
six singles matches as TC got points by Bronwyn
Hartley, Amanda Pike, Blake Thompson, Heidi von der Lage
and Doss.
LMU’s lone point came at No. 1
singles as two-time SAC Player of the Week Kathleen
Rollet won 6-0, 6-0 over Jennifer Sparks.
Tusculum returns home on Friday
when the Pioneers take on Lees-McRae College for a 1 p.m. match at the Nichols
Tennis Complex.
