WOMEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS
GREENEVILLE,
Newberry (7-5, 4-1 SAC) posted
victories at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, including an 8-1 decision by Autise Mortimer and Lauren
Hartley at the top flight. The
Valderrama captured another point
for the Pioneers (11-4, 4-2 SAC) at No. 1 singles with her 6-1, 7-5 win over
Mortimer. But Hartley and Isabel
Kreidler answered with two critical points at the second and third flight. Hartley defeated
Tanea Miller sealed the win with
her victory at No. 4 singles, while Bethany
Poppe answered with a three-set win at No. 6 over Caroline Crowe.
