NO. 38 TUSCULUM DEFEATS NEWBERRY 6-3

          NEWBERRY, S.C. --   The No. 38 Tusculum women’s tennis team remained undefeated in the South Atlantic Conference with a 6-3 victory at Newberry on Saturday.  The Pioneers move to 11-5 overall and 4-0 in the SAC.  Newberry slips to 8-8 and 2-3 in the league.  The win was TC’s seventh consecutive victory.

 

                Claudia Bolivar, Danae Valderrama, Maria Nevarez, and Jenn Sparks picked up wins in singles play for the Tusculum.

                The doubles tandems of Bolivar and Nevarez (No. 1) and Valderrama and Sparks (No. 3) claimed wins at their respective doubles slots.

                Tusculum returns to action on Sunday against No. 31 Presbyterian.  The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. in Clinton, S.C.
