BANNER ELK, N.C. --- The Tusculum College women's team rallied from
a 2-1 deficit and swept singles play en route to a 7-2 road win at Lees-McRae
College Thursday afternoon.
The Pioneers (12-4) fell at No.
1 and No .3 doubles, but got an 8-0 win at the second flight by Danae Valderrama and Samantha Cantu.
Valderrama and Cantu recorded
singles wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles in straight sets. Jennifer
Sparks, Bronwyn Hartley, Amanda Pike and Heidi von der Lage also accounted for straight set victories for
the Pioneers.
