TUSCULUM WOMEN'S TENNIS BLANKS CRUSADERS

 

                GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The No. 39 Tusculum College women's tennis team posted its fourth straight win as the Pioneers defeated visiting North Greenville University 9-0 Wednesday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.  Tusculum improves to 15-6 as it prepares for next week's 2006 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament.

 

                Tusculum posted a pair of 8-1 pro set wins in doubles, while Bronwyn Hartley and Amanda Pike outlasted the NGU duo of Courtney Lynn and Caitlyn Whitted at the No. 2 flight.

 

                In singles, Claudia Bolivar rallied from a set down to defeat Teresita Mariana 0-6, 6-4, 7-5.

 

                TC also got singles points by Danae Valderrama, Maria Nevarez, Hartley, Pike and Jennifer Sparks.
