TUSCULUM WOMEN'S TENNIS BLANKS COBRAS 9-0

 

                GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women's tennis team defeated visiting Virginia Intermont College 9-0 Friday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.

 

                Tusculum (14-5) recorded singles victories by Danae Valderrama, Jennifer Sparks, Samantha Cantu, Bronwyn Hartley, Heidi von der Lage and Amanda Pike.  TC also swept doubles play, including an 8-0 pro set win at the No. 2 flight by the TC duo of Jessi Smith and Caroline Crowe.

 

                The Pioneers will close out the regular season on Sunday when they host Converse College for a 1 p.m. match.  Virginia Intermont falls to 0-10 on the year.
