TUSCULUM SPLITS PAIR AT C-N VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

 

                JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College volleyball team split a pair of matches in day one action of the Carson-Newman College Tournament Friday afternoon.

 

                The Pioneers (2-5) started the tournament with a 3-1 loss to undefeated West Alabama by scores of 30-22, 18-30, 30-25, 30-28.

 

                Tusculum bounced back in the afternoon contest as the Pioneers knocked Charleston (W.Va.) in four games by scores of 30-16, 30-21, 19-30, 30-20.

 

                TC returns to action on Saturday with a pair of matches in the C-N Tournament.  Tusculum will open with a 1:45 match against Mount Olive, before closing out the two-day event with a 3:45 p.m. battle with North Greenville.
