TUSCULUM VOLLEYBALL STAYS HOT, PIONEERS BLANK CRUSADERS 3-0

 

                ANDERSON, S.C. --- The Tusculum College volleyball recorded its third straight victory as the Pioneers defeated North Greenville University 3-0 Friday afternoon in day one action of the Regional Crossover Tournament at the Abney Center on the campus of Anderson University.

 

                The Pioneers won the match by scores of 30-20, 30-19, 30-10 for TC’s second win over the Crusaders (2-14) this month.  Tusculum defeated NGU 3-0 at the Carson-Newman Labor Day Tournament.  Tusculum has won seven of its last eight matches and 11 of 13.

 

                Freshman Katie Luebke led Tusculum with 20 kills, 11 digs and six blocks in the victory.  She also added a pair of service aces in the win.  Brittany Oblinger dished out 29 assists and served three aces, while Caroline Winstel tallied a team-high dozen digs.

 

                Tusculum (11-7) will face host Anderson at noon on Saturday before facing Augusta State University at 2 p.m.
