TUSCULUM VOLLEYBALL WINS 3-1 AT MARS HILL

 

                MARS HILL, N.C. --- The Tusculum College volleyball team won its sixth consecutive match as the Pioneers defeated host Mars Hill College 3-1 Tuesday night at Stanford Arena in South Atlantic Conference action.

 

                Tusculum won the match by scores of 30-20, 25-30, 30-20, 30-13 as the Pioneers improve to 14-7 overall and 3-1 in the SAC.

 

                Vivian Lacy (Palm Bay, FL) led the Pioneers with 18 kills while Alexis Rowles (Simpsonville, SC) had 16 digs and two service aces. Mariana Rezende (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) supplied TC with 44 assists. 
 
                Danielle Silvers (Waynesville, NC) led MHC with 16 kills and three blocks while Tiffany Oreka (Chesapeake, VA) recorded 28 digs and three service aces. Jessica Britt (Chesapeake, VA) tallied 31 assists in the contest. 

 

                Tusculum returns to action Friday night when it hosts Newberry College for a league tilt at Pioneer Arena beginning at 7 p.m.
