LACY NAMED SAC VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

--- For a second consecutive week, Tusculum
College's Vivian Lacy
has been named the South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week
announced league officials Monday. Lacy
earns this honor for the third time in her career.
The former River Ridge
High School product recorded
a pair of 30+ kill efforts and is the only player in the nation this season to
post 30 or more kills in four matches. Her 33 kills in a five-game win over
Catawba tied a Tusculum
five-game record. She posted 30 kills in a win over Newberry and had 18 kills,
11 digs and nine blocks in a win over Mars Hill.
Lacy
totaled 81 kills over the three matches, averaging of 5.8 per game while posting
a .379 hitting percentage. The Palm Bay, Fla.
senior added 2.8 digs and 1.1 blocks per game. Lacy had double-doubles in kills
and digs in all three matches.
Tusculum (16-7, 5-1 SAC) is riding an eight-match
winning streak and has been victorious in 12 of its last 13 outings. TC's 5-1 league
start is its best since joining the SAC in 1998.
The
South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week is voted on by the league’s Sports
Information Directors.
