TUSCULUM VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS CRUSADERS ON SENIOR DAY

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Senior Shawna Voigt recorded seven kills, 16 digs and eight service aces as Tusculum College defeated North Greenville University 3-0 Monday night in volleyball action at Pioneer Arena.

The Pioneers (22-9) won the match by scores of 30-15, 30-9, 30-17 to complete the season sweep of the Crusaders. Vivian Lacy added nine kills and a .615 hitting percentage. Senior Jessica Horton posted a .714 hitting percentage, while senior Vanessa Fortes' posted eight kills in their final home matches.

Tusculum posted a .461 hitting percentage and accounted for 11 service aces, including eight by Voigt.

NGU was led by Amanda Bouchillon's five kills and two digs. Pat Calwile added four kills, six assists, five digs and a service ace in the loss.

The Pioneers have won six of their last seven matches, while posting a 14-5 record at home this season.

Tusculum closes out the regular season on Tuesday as the Pioneers travel to Lincoln Memorial University for a 6 p.m. match.
