ALICIA LIGHT
SIGNS WITH TUSCULUM
VOLLEYBALL
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Alicia
Light has signed a national letter of intent to attend Tusculum College and
play volleyball for the Pioneers announced TC head coach Nathan Baker.
Light, a 5-6 libero
from Kingsport, Tenn.,
played at Sullivan
South High
School for Coach Wendy Ratliff. Light led her
prep squad to two trips to the TSSAA State Championship match. She led her team with 567 digs and posted the
top serve reception percentage on the team.
"I'm very happy that Alicia
has chosen Tusculum
College," said
Baker. "Getting a player of
Alicia's caliber, that has been part of a very successful high school program,
is huge for our team. She is a touch
player and should fit right in with our team."
Light was a four-time
All-Conference selection in volleyball and softball and finished with 92
service aces which was second on the Rebels' team.
Tusculum posted a 23-10 record in 2006 and
finished fourth in the South Atlantic Conference.
Tusculum
College, located in Greeneville,
Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian
Church, USA and is a NCAA Division
II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of nine colleges
and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South
Carolina.
