HEATHER
LEMAY SIGNS WITH TUSCULUM
VOLLEYBALL
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Heather LeMay has signed a national letter of intent to
attend Tusculum College and play volleyball for the
Pioneers announced TC head coach Nathan
Baker.
LeMay,
a 5-0 libero from Naperville,
Ill., has starred on the volleyball court at Neuqua
Valley High
School.
She has eight years of club and high school playing experience. At the Western Illinois
University volleyball camp,
she was named the Best Defensive All-Around Player and won the digs competition
at the 2007 camp.
In 2007, she was the top-ranked libero in her age group at the Prep Volleyball recruiting
combine at Wisconsin Dells. She is
currently player club volleyball for Illinois Performance Volleyball where she
is coached by Jake Mattern
and Stork Hsu.
"Heather is a truly gifted
young lady that shows a lot of character on and off the court," said
Baker. "She has the leadership
ability that will help our young team next season."
Tusculum posted a 25-10 record in 2007,
including 11-3 in South Atlantic Conference play, finishing second in the
league.
Tusculum
College, located in Greeneville,
Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian
Church (USA) and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference
which is comprised of nine colleges and universities in Tennessee,
North Carolina and South Carolina.
