Insecurity
The following Food
Insecurities maps are a result of Professor Sally Causey’s
Service-Learning courses that looked at sustainable agriculture and
community food security.
Students
surveyed community members in line for the Food Commodities
distribution to see where they lived. These addresses were plotted in
relation to the grocery and convenience stores. Through this and other
research Rural Resources was able to begin a Mobile Farmer's Market as
part of a USDA grant to serve areas that do not have access to fresh
fruits and vegetables.

and
nearby roads.
