MainStreet
Greeneville History Project
Dr. Taimi Olsen's Service Learning class, inspired
by
the Rediscover Greeneville
Project, explored the history of various
buildings in downtown Greeneville. Some of the buildings will be
altered dramatically or torn down in the restructuring of the downtown
area. Students photographed these buildings, interviewed citizens for
oral histories on the buildings, and documented their research in student-created webpages. Please
note that some of the information given is based on interviewee
recollection only. The students' main goal was to preserve the history
of these buildings before renovation begins.
