Amy Birdwell Lyttle, Assistant Professor of Education, began teaching in the Tusculum College GPS program as an adjunct in 2006. Professor Lyttle teaches a variety of courses including History and Philosophy of Education, Assessment and Evaluation, and Classroom Management; however, her main interests involve working with preservice teachers in Mathematics and Science methods courses.
Amy graduated from the University of Tennessee with a master's degree in Education in 1998 after completing both a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Anthropology the previous year. She has experience working with students of all ability levels at the elementary, middle and high school levels, but has a special place in her heart for middle schoolers.
