Dan Barnett came to Tusculum in 1985. He holds an M.A. from Western Carolina University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Newberry College. Also Post Graduate Studies- Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Professor Barnett is a native of South Carolina. He and his wife Pat have two children and reside on a farm in Greene County Tennessee.

Environmental chemistry, water , and air quality are his main interests in teaching and research.
