Dennis Lingerfelt returns to Tusculum College as Assistant Professor of Computer Science after completing his Masters of Science in Computer Science at Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas, in May of this year. Mr. Lingerfelt graduated with a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics from Tusculum in 2003 and is excited to be back at his alma mater.

During his time at Stephen F. Austin, Mr. Lingerfelt held a half teaching, half research assistantship which afforded him the opportunity to publish several journal articles and attend several regional and national conferences in the computing sciences while also teaching several classes a semester. Mr. Lingerfelt is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery, is a member of the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges, and has been affiliated with the Association for Small Computer Users in Education. His interests include File Structures, Database Processing, and Algorithmic and Complexity Theory.
