Dr. Gilsdorf, Assistant Professor of Sport Management, joined the faculty of Tusculum College in 1998. He received his Doctor of Education in Sports Management degree at the United States Sports Academy, a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education from Judson College.
At Tusculum, Dr. Gilsdorf teaches Managing Legal Aspects of Sport and Physical Education, Psychological Dynamics of Sport and Physical Education, Communications in Sport, Sport Facilities and Design, Clinical Experience in Sport Management, Coaching Basketball and Foundations of Physical Fitness and Wellness. He is a member of American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), North American Society of Sport Management (NASSM).
Dr. Gilsdorf has served in education for over 24 years at both the high school and college levels. His experiences include teaching, coaching and administrative positions, owning and operating two businesses, sport and recreation management, and completed strategic planning for athletic programs and sport businesses. He is married and has three children.
