Pauletta Johnson joined the faculty of Tusculum College in August 2007 as Director of Student Teaching in the Department of Education. Currently she coordinates student teachers as well overseeing the student teaching programs for the residential and GPS programs. In addition she is a member of the Admissions and Standards Committee, Learning Circle Leader, and Faculty Mentor of the Patton Education Society.
Before arriving at Tusculum College, Johnson taught within the Jefferson County School system for the past seven years. In addition to being a classroom teacher, she also has experience serving on various curriculum committees, as a certified teaching mentor, evaluator for the Tennessee Evaluation model, and several leadership positions within the Jefferson County Education Association. Johnson also has experience as a tutor for GED students at Douglas-Cherokee's WIA Youth Program.
Pauletta obtained her Education Specialist degree from the Lincoln Memorial University specializing in administration and supervision. Johnson has also attended the University of Tennessee of Knoxville completing her Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and Bachelors of Arts in Psychology.
