Tusculum College Academic Resources Center

Jill Jones

Jill Jones

Jill Jones was named Director of Academic Advising for Tusculum College in June 2005 following eleven years in the Admissions Office.

Jill is well suited for this position having been a student at the college during the 1991-92 transition period from the traditional semester schedule to the Focused Calendar. She graduated summa cum laude in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology/Math and a minor in Music-Voice.

While still undecided on a career, Jill was one of three students accepted into the exclusive Molecular Genetics program at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. After realizing that this was not the path in which she wished to be involved, Jill decided to purse her Masters in Adult Education and graduated with High Honors from Tusculum in 2004. With this as her background, Jill is well qualified to counsel students on various programs of study and capably assist them with their academic plans.

Well known for her singing ability, Jill sings with various groups across the region including the Knoxville Opera Company. She has soloed twice with the Knoxville Symphony and is an in-demand soloist. Jill is one of the Tusculum Experience instructors and also chairs the Arts and Lecture Committee for the college.

Jill is an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Greeneville.
