Under the direction of Professor d'Espouy, the graduates of the famous Paris school of art, the Ecole des
Beaux-Arts, measured and drew the views of the famous monuments of classic Greece and Italy. This
copy was printed in 1908. Gift of the Andrew Johnson Memorial Association.

The Works of the Reverend Mr. Samuel Blair

George Collins, Director of Museum Program and Studies, shares a recent accession with museum
volunteers. The book is entitled, The Works of the Reverend Mr. Samuel Blair, late Minister of the
Gospel at Fogs-Mannor, in Chester Country, in Pennsylvania. The book was published in Philadelphia in
1754. The book was apparently owned by an Alice Boyd and given by James Boyd to Rev. Samuel
Witherspoon Doak on July 19, 1813. The book contains the signatures of Alice Boyd, Samuel W. Doak,
and the presentation inscription.
