Colors and Typeface

The official colors of Tusculum College are orange and black. The exact shades for printing purposes are Orange PMS 158 and reference black.

On this web site, the HTML color codes of #FF6633 [orange] and 000000 [black] are used. In addition, the HTML color code #666666 [dark grey] is used for web page borders and backgrounds. The HTML color code #FFCC66 [light orange] is used as a complimentary orange and used for contrast backgrounds. The HTML color codes #CCCCCC, #FFFFCC and #ADCEAA are used as the primary accent colors for most web pages.

The College's official typeface for printed material is Bembo, which is used for logos, official titlings, and document headings.

The primary typeface for online material is "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif", which is used for the majority of the content and all news stories and program descriptions. On the front page, the font "Verdana" is used. On most pages, the font "Tahoma" is used for the majority of side and top links.

It should be noted that browsers (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Mozilla, etc.) on different platforms (Windows, Linux, Macintosh) will often display fonts differently. Effort has been made to approximate the same "look-and-feel" for the website across all browsers and platforms; however, it is possible that some pages will display differently on different platforms and browsers.

We recommend that visitors us a minimum resolution of 800 X 600, and that visitors use the latest version of their browser of choice.
