Tusculum's first scholarship competition draws crowd
GREENEVILLE -- Eighty-five students were on the Tusculum College campus on Saturday, Feb. 24, taking part in Tusculum's first-ever academic scholarship competition.
Those who came were students who have already applied for admission to Tusculum College and been accepted.
Students invited to the competition had at least a 3.2 grade point average and a 20 ACT or 960 SAT scores.
The students went through interviews with representatives of Tusculum College, who gathered data that will be used in determining the distribution of merit and divisional scholarships during the next academic year.
Participating in the interviews for Tusculum were members of the College's financial aid and admissions staffs, along with other staff members who worked as volunteer interviewers.
