Williams joins Tusculum College Board of Trustees
Well known Greeneville real estate agent Mark Williams has joined the Tusculum College Board of Trustees.
Williams, a sales agent with Century 21, Pro Service Realtors and a Tennessee certified real estate appraiser, was welcomed to the board during its latest meeting Oct. 12-13 on the Greeneville campus.
"I consider it an honor and a privilege to join the Board of Trustees at Tusculum College," Williams said. "I support the mission of the college to offer the students a curriculum that provides a quality education, as well as helps shape them into well rounded citizens. The institution is an integral and important part of our community and I am excited to be involved with it."
Jim Durham, chairman of the trusteeship committee, said that Williamss success and experience in business will be beneficial to the board. "We are pleased that such a distinguished and capable individual is willing to serve on our board," Durham said. "Marks knowledge and experience in business will be invaluable to Tusculum during this very important phase of our history."
Williams is no stranger to Tusculum College, having been involved in fund-raising for the college for the past 20 years in major campaigns and the Pioneer Club. He served as chairman of this years Pioneer Club campaign, which provides funds for student-athlete scholarships. Williams was also instrumental in bringing the South Atlantic Conference Fall Sports Festival to Greene County and Tusculum College last year, an event the college is hosting again this year.
Active in the community, he is a member of the Greene County Partnership Board of Directors and chairman of its Sports Council. He was a graduate of the Partnerships 1997 Leadership Class.
Williams is also a United Way volunteer, and serves on the board of directors of the YMCA of Greene County and Comcare-Partners in Care.
He is a member of the Northeast Tennessee Association of Realtors, the Tennessee Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
A member of First Baptist Church of Greeneville, Williams serves as chairman of its trustees.
Williams holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee.
He and his wife, Ann, reside in Greeneville and have three children Chase, Erin, and Rebecca.
