Phil Roberts, left above, of Greeneville won first place in the adult division of the Homecoming 2002 5K Race at Tusculum College Saturday morning. Second and third place in the adult division were Tusculum College students, Jessie Goad of Kingsport, middle, and Jason Lowe of Midway, right. Jenna Shaw, below left, of Greeneville won first place in the children's division, and her younger brother, Caleb, below right, won second. Tusculum Mayor Robert K. Bird blew the whistle to begin the race, a first as a Homecoming activity. The race sponsors were Coca-Cola and the Tusculum College Alumni Executive Board.

Homecoming Golf Tournament

The team of Jack Kilday, Bobby Bowers, Joe D'Auria (from left above), and Hal Pruitt (not pictured), were the winners of the Tusculum College Homecoming 2002 Golf Tournament, held Sept. 20 at River Trace Golf Course. ÊAlumni, their spouses, faculty, staffs and friends of the college were invited to participate in the tournament, which had a scramble format. ÊLike the first-place team, the second place winners were all alumni of Tusculum College. ÊThe second place team consisted of Thomas Massolio, from left below, Ken Winant, Rodney Taylor, and David Foreman.
