Two Tusculum College security personnel promoted by Murray Guard
Promotions in rank were earned this week by two individuals who help provide security at Tusculum College. Bernie Elkins, center, was made a sergeant, while Rita Woods, right, was promoted from lieutenant to captain. Present on Monday afternoon (Oct. 28) to officially pin new insignia on the uniforms of Elkins and Woods was, at left, Doug Harrison, branch manager of Murray Guard, Inc., with offices in Johnson City. Elkins is a Maryland native now living in Greeneville, while Woods is from Rogersville. In a brief talk prior to the insignia ceremony, Harrison described the excellent work of both Woods and Elkins. After the ceremony, friends and coworkers of the two individuals held an informal reception party in their honor in the Niswonger Commons on the Tusculum College campus. (Tusculum College photo)
