'Airline Encyclopedia' by library director recognized in journal
"The Airline Encyclopedia: 1909-2000" by Tusculum College Library Director Myron J. "Jack" Smith has been recognized as one of the "Best Reference Sources of 2002" by the Library Journal.
The "Airline Encyclopedia," which provides extensive information about more than 6,000 commercial air transport companies, is described in the listing in the April edition of the Library Journal as "a superior reference. . . . Fascinating facts combine with profiles that include aircraft, routes, services, personnel, alliances, accidents and incidents, terrorism and in-flight crime, government service in war and peace, natural disasters, literary or film references, and unusual anecdotes. A labor of love."
