Doak House Holds Open House/Home Tour

If you missed the "Doak House Pilgrimage: A Christmas Home Tour," you still have a chance to experience the historic site's special holiday atmosphere by following our own online pilgrimage here. Follow the arrows labeled "next" below to experience the open house for yourself.

The tour offered the opportunity for visitors to see the 19th Century home of Samuel Witherspoon Doak, the historic Layman Blacksmith Shop, the Springhouse and the Tusculum Academy, all lit by lantern light and decorated for the holidays.

An exhibit of antique toys from a collection in Jonesborough, Tennessee, was also on display at the Doak House in December.
