What follows is a tribute to Nathan McCoy, a 19-year-old Tusculum College freshman who was killed in a car accident on May 27, 1998. Nathan wrote the poems that follow as a final assignment for Dr. Alice Loftin's Fate of the Earth class during his last block at Tusculum. The poems in part reflect his concerned response to the book Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. The backgrounds of these pages are a recreation of those he used in his own project.
