Donnelly Named Sports Information Director

Tusculum College athletic director Ed Hoffmeyer has announced the appointment of Dom Donnelly to the post of sports information director. Donnelly joins the Pioneer athletic staff after a stint as the assistant SID at Division I Elon College (NC).

"We are thrilled to have Dom join our staff," stated Hoffmeyer. "We are fortunate to find someone with his experience in the profession and with his South Atlantic Conference experience. His knowledge of our conference and region should prove beneficial."

Donnelly has also served as the sports information director at fellow SAC member Lenior-Rhyne College and at UNC-Pembroke. The 32-year-old Louisville, Ky. native began his sports information career at Georgia College, where he also served as the head golf coach. During his tenure as a golf coach, he led GC to a third-place finish in the Peach Belt Athletic Conference.

"I am excited to join the Tusculum staff and to renew my relationship with the South Atlantic Conference," said Donnelly. "The Tusculum athletic program has a bright future and that is what made this position attractive. I am excited to join the Tusculum and Greene County communities and look forward to working at TC."

The Western Kentucky University graduate also has an extensive broadcasting background. Donnelly was the voice of the Hilltopper football and basketball squads on the WKU campus radio station as an undergraduate.

Donnelly replaces Will Prewitt, who resigned to accept the position of associate commissioner with the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

He is single and will reside in Greeneville.
