English Students Organization hosts 2nd annual literature and writing conference

Poet Noah E. Gordon reads from one of his latest books during the second annual Tusculum College Undergraduate Conference on Literature and Creative Writing on March 18 at Tusculum College.
About 30 students and professors from five colleges read either their own selected works or presented papers about literary works during the day-long conference, which was sponsored and coordinated by Tusculum's English Students Organization. Participants in the conference were from Bridgewater College, King College, the University of Virginia's College at Wise and Virginia Tech as well as Tusculum. The conference also included workshops about writing by Tusculum professors as well as the readings by Gordon and fellow published poets Eric Baus and Joshua M. Wilkinson.
Participants were given admittance to the production of "Much Ado About Nothing" by Shenandoah Shakespeare's Blackfriars Stage Company on campus that evening, part of Tusculum College Arts Outreach's Acts, Arts, Academia 2005--06 performance and lecture series.
