Scott M. Niswonger Commons

The Niswonger Commons, one of TC's newest buildings, is the central hub of campus life.

The Commons houses the post office, cafeteria, bookstore, television & radio studios, the campus telecommunications center, a campus living room, a fitness center, classrooms and offices for faculty members and student life staff.

Additionally, the Commons offers students a 24/7 computer lab with wireless connectivity and printing ability. The Commons also houses the Department of Information Systems data center. The IS Dept. provides students, faculty and staff with a number of important services, including equipment checkout, computer trouble-shooting and assistance.

The Student Affairs Office is located on the first floor of Niswonger Commons. This office plans and offers a variety of activities for residential students, including intramurals, clubs and other organizations.

The Commons includes Tusculum Arena as well as the existing structures, Pioneer Gymnasium and Simerly Union Building

The Commons is named for Tusculum College alumnus and Board of Trustees member Scott M. Niswonger who served as General Chairman of the Tusculum College 2000 Campaign, which raised money for the construction of the Commons.
