Welty - Craig Hall
1892

Tusculum's only co-ed dorm, Welty-Craig Hall houses women on the first two floors and men on the third. It was renovated in the summer of 2000, and now boasts new flooring in all common areas, new paint, and new lobby furniture. Central heating and air were installed during renovations in 1999.

History

Craig Hall was the second McCormick inspired building erected on campus (after McCormick Hall), with Nettie Fowler McCormick providing almost half of the funds required for construction. The building originally housed seventy men, with a kitchen, dining room, and laboratories for physical sciences.

It was renamed Welty-Craig Hall in 1998 for Board of Trustees Chairman and Benefactor Stanley R. Welty '51.
